After charming Mumbai, Hugh Jackman came to Jaipur on Saturday morning with wife Deborra-Lee Furness to shop, relax and see India over two days. After landing, they were quickly whisked away from the airport to their suburban seven-star hotel.
Later in the day, the couple came out to shop and see the sights. Accompanied by a fleet of bodyguards, the two visited the City Palace, also the residence of the Jaipur royal family, in the afternoon, and then the Hawa Mahal. Deborra-Lee was quite enchanted by the Rajput architecture in the City Palace and clicked many pictures.
After that, it was time for Hugh to woo his wife like any other man would -- with diamonds! The couple visited a jewellery shop around 2.30 pm and spent more than an hour buying jewellery. From there, they went to an ethnic clothing chain, where they picked up some Rajasthani block printed fabric. Deborra-Lee, unlike other foreign tourists, did not ignore the street kids who run after sightseers.
While coming out of a shop, she saw a couple of them in the parking lot. She went closer and after saying hello, gave them the bottle of water she had been carrying.
